Privacy & your data

Speakobello is built for practice, and a lot of people practice talks they can't share with the world yet, like a work presentation, a pitch, or a difficult conversation. So we want to be straight with you about what happens to what you record. No fine print, no surprises.

Your video is never saved

When you record, the video and audio are processed to give you feedback and then thrown away. They're never written to our database or any file storage. The same goes for videos you upload of someone else in Analyze Others: analyzed, then discarded. There is no place in Speakobello where a recording of your face or voice is kept.

What we do keep

So that your progress means something over time, we keep the text and the numbers from each session:

The written transcript of what you said
Your scores and metrics (filler words, pace, pauses, structure, and so on)
The written coaching feedback for that session
Basic account details: your name, email, and plan

One honest heads-up: the transcript is real text of your words. If your talk contains confidential names, numbers, or company secrets, consider using made-up stand-ins when you practice, or delete the session afterward (see below). The safest information is the kind that was never written down.

Where it lives, and who else touches it

Your data is stored in an encrypted database (Supabase), and each account can only ever read its own rows, enforced at the database level, not just in the app. To give you feedback, a few trusted services process your session:

OpenAI transcribes your audio and writes the coaching feedback. It's used through their API, which is not used to train their models, and they only hold data briefly for abuse monitoring.
Supabase stores the database and login, encrypted at rest and in transit.
Stripe handles payments, if you subscribe. Your card details go straight to Stripe, so we never see them.

The app itself runs on our own secured server, not a third-party hosting platform. We never sell your data, and we never share it with anyone beyond the services above that are needed to run the app.

Deleting your data

You're in control. You can delete any single session, from your dashboard list or from its results page, and you can wipe all of your sessions and transcripts at once from Settings → Privacy & your data. When you delete a session, its transcript, scores, and feedback are permanently removed. Deleting your whole account removes everything.
